Pea pod finger food
Pea pods and little else: crunchy and delicious – as long as they are organic and fresh! Growing your own would be ideal and the climbing pea plant doesn’t need much space.
Serves 6 as a starter.
1 kg (approx) of fresh pea pods
1 cup of grated parmesan cheese
1 cup of dry breadcrumbs
Olive oil, extra virgin
Salt and pepper
1 pinch paprika
1 pinch turmeric
Wash the pods well and cook them in a pressure cooker with little water for 10 minutes after the whistle. Drain and place on a baking tray. Heat the oven to 180° C. Sprinkle the pods with all the other ingredients and finish with a dash of olive oil. Bake at 180° C for 15 minutes and serve.
